FAQ
Quick answers to the questions we hear most often. If yours isn't here, reach out.
What is n8nmanager?
n8nmanager is a managed self-hosting service for n8n. You bring your own server (BYOS) and we handle deployment, SSL, updates, and monitoring — so you get the control of self-hosting without the ops overhead.
Which server providers are supported?
Any Linux VPS with SSH access works. We've tested Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS EC2, and Oracle Cloud. Ubuntu 22.04 or later is recommended.
Who owns the n8n data?
You do. n8n runs on your server using your database — we never store or access your workflow data. If you cancel, the instance keeps running on your server until you decide to remove it.
How does billing work?
We charge a flat monthly fee per managed instance. You're separately responsible for your server costs, which are paid directly to your provider. See the pricing page for current tiers.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — see our refund policy for the current terms.
Why does my new instance show a “Dangerous site” warning in Chrome?
That warning comes from Google Safe Browsing, not from a broken certificate. It's a known false-positive for freshly-registered domains with login forms. Read Custom Domains & SSL for the full explanation and how to resolve it.
How do I get support?
